Run run.

After whining and complaining about how much I miss running, I finally got up off my butt and went for a run.  Actually I went twice.  The first time was during the day and I had Mac in the stroller and Hemi on umbilical and I literally thought I would collapse. I think it took me about twenty minutes to run 2.5 KM. Yikes. Then last night I went for a run with Hemi and did 5 KM. After running for about five minutes I thought I was having a heart attack. And 5 KM took me about 36 minutes. *Sigh*  What's really depressing about this was last year at this time I was just finishing up my training for the 1/2 marathon.  I keep telling myself that I have to start somewhere and that I'm doing good but I wish I could fast forward a month to where running is actually fun again... because that's what I've learned in the last two years. If you decide to start running, brace yourself because the first month SUCKS. After a month, your body is used to the torture and you actually start to enjoy the benefits.

On the funny side of things, Harry was running on the treadmill the other day and Mac was watching him and all of a sudden Mac started yelling "RUN!!! RUN!!" really aggressively. I guess that's what I get for letting him watch the Biggest Loser with me :)

Oh yeah, and he's also claimed my yoga mat as his own personal space. The other day I was doing the sculpt part of my Power 90 workout and when I started doing push ups on it he ran up to me yelling "NONONONONO!!!" and tried to push me off it.

It's gonna be a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG month. Peace out!
