Pumpkin Butter and NaNoWriMo

One of my favorite bloggers Run Eat Repeat constantly talks about food - and not just any food, delicious, random food mixtures that sound easy to make and yummy. One of the things she raves about the most is Pumpkin Butter. Now seeing as how she lives in California and I live the belly button of the middle of nowhere the odds of us having access to the same stores are slim to none.  So this morning I woke up and started prowling the internet in search of a good pumpkin butter recipe. I found one that looks promising and am going to give it a try this afternoon. Fingers crossed it tastes as good as it sounds!

Yesterday was the first day of National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. I was introduced to this idea by my cousin's wife Janelle at Three Wheel Kiss back in August when she posted about her desire to participate and encouraged me to do so. Basically the idea is that you write a 50 000 word novel in the course of one month. Which breaks down to roughly 1700 words a day. Ouch. But I'm trying it out. Last night, despite motherhood induced brain stunning tiredness, I knocked out about 1200 words. Not bad.

Oh yeah, and yesterday I bought myself a new MacBook Pro, which should be arriving in the mail in 8-10 days. I imagine getting motivated to write on that baby won't be very hard! YAY!
